On May 28, 2025, the University of Tokyo’s Atmosphere and Ocean Research Institute (AORI) released groundbreaking research results. For the first time in the world, researchers successfully captured footage of king penguins feeding on fish in the dark sea.
In this study, a small video camera equipped with LED illumination, our company’s LoggLaw CAM, was attached to king penguins. Researchers successfully recorded feeding behavior occurring in deep, dark ocean waters at depths of over 100 meters.

LoggLaw CAM is a high-performance biologging video device designed for detailed observation of animal behavior. It has already been utilized in various research fields, including studies involving Pacific bluefin tuna.
We are honored that our LoggLaw CAM has contributed to this pioneering research. Moving forward, we will continue developing innovative products to support scientific research.
